The purpose of the widget was to give customers who were also business owners a means of providing easily-accessible BloomSky data from their purchased weather station to their customers. After researching widget patterns as well as sizes, wireframes and visual design were created to begin development. The widget need not only uphold the BloomSky look and feel, it also needed to hold the data as the primary focus and work on other company websites with their own look and feel.
BloomSky needed business cards to bring to their business development events and other customer and partner interactions. A request form was created to acquire need and necessary information to streamline the process. Then a design was created for each individual, with a fun personal illustration so the person giving the business card can give it with joy.
BloomSky wanted to give business customers a way to communicate to their customers that they had a BloomSky weather station installed on the premises and that the data was available on the free mobile app. After creating a mood board to hone down on the emotional appeal of the poster, it was created to take account of BloomSky’s look and feel, communicate that data was available to the customers, and used a metaphor of a network of local destinations to show the weather visually. The final prints were letter-sized and 18” x 24” to work with a variety of businesses. Matching stickers were also designed for giveaways and smaller spaces.
BloomSky was to give away 30 BloomSky weather stations to reviewers in order to spread the word and needed invitations to go along with the units. Along with the invitation message created by a partner public relations firm, content was also added to add context for the unsuspecting reviewer. Due to the short timeline of the project, in house printers were tested and used for production. All invitations were handcut, folded, and prepared for delivery in envelopes to match BloomSky’s cardboard packaging.
